Predictions are no fun if you don’t check back and see how you did. Am I a prescient predictor of future events? Let’s find out:
Okay kids, there’s an Apple event coming up, and you know what that means: an endless torrent of predictions about what will be announced. And as you probably already know, I’m a total sucker for predictions, so here’s what I think is coming:
After several weeks of work, I am happy to announce that my JavaScript Jeopardy site is now open for business. It’s basically a proof-of-concept project to prove three things to myself:
- I can program
- I can complete a project
- I can do something creative
All of these things are very exciting! The site is still rough around the edges, and I’ll pop in and work on it from time to time, but the most important thing is that it’s presentable.

So here goes:
Remember when TV shows were named like this? Ah, memories.
Today, I’m doing something I’ve been meaning to do for a very long time - I’m going to document my home theater setup. As you’ll find below, my way of watching TV is a bit unorthodox, but hopefully it’ll save a few of you from the time and attention sink that is cable TV. Note: I’m using a Mac to do all of this. I’ll try to include suggestions for PC users when possible. The rabbit hole begins after the jump…
So I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while, but I find myself typing this on an iPad, and I think it’s only fair to mention a few of the apps I’ve been enjoying. Believe it or not, people do actually ask my opinion on this stuff, so I think it’s only fair that I chronicle it here for all to see. So, without further blathering on my part, here’s the goodies:
